Spirit History and Lore[]
The manticore is a mythological creature of Persian origin. It was known to have to body of a lion, a human head with several rows of sharp teeth, a voice like a trumpet, and sometimes bat-like wings. Based on which version of the story you read, it may or may not use venom to shoot poisonous barbs to paralyze or kill its prey.
